ENDEAVOR x DOYLE x COORS LIGHT

Endeavor Snowboards produced a small run of limited edition boards for Coors Light and I was lucky enough to do the graphics. The topsheet is obviously a can and the base is the Endeavor logo made up of spilled brew. After producing the guerilla series for Endeavor's 10/11 line in 3D I decided that to make a can look as photo-real as possible then i should also do it in 3D. I'm hyped on my signature being hit in gold foil. I don't know about you, but everytime I look at the board I suddenly want to experience the golden taste of an ice cold silver bullet...

MEGADESTROYER

I recently finished a couple of graphics for the Heathens over at MEGADESTROYER. A brand i've liked before it was even a brand. The MxFxD graphic was derived from an old Rush album. The hair text graphic was derived from Paul Higgins and myself drinking tall cans of ale in front of my computer looking at pictures of Motorcycles, Hair, skulls and a naked midget lady pointing an uzi. To my surprise as you'll see in the sneak peak picture from KNOW?SHOW they also made a jacket out of the hair graphic!

It was a pleasure working with them and hopefully you'll see more of my art in the Mega D line up in the future. Stop by their site and check out some more of the goods!

ENDEAVOR 2010/11 LINE!

This was a large project. Five unique top sheets with two colorways on top of that and a pretty detailed/tech base graphic that was painfully made solely in vector. For those of you who don't know, I work full time as a 3D production artist by day and a designer/artist by night so in other words, this one took a while.
Usually I keep my 3D and 2D work pretty separate but when Endeavor approached me with the idea of futuristic graffiti for their guerilla series, I thought it would be a great opportunity to combine the styles that surprisingly enough, over the years I hadn't ever really tried mixing before.
I recently made a series of silk screened clocks with cities from all over the world on them and it gave me the idea to make each board from somewhere across the globe. With that in mind along with the initial theme of the Guerilla series, I thought it would be cool to model each board after a famous landmark that we all know as untouchable, being devoured by graffiti in a guerilla manor. I could go into some more symbolic jargon but that is basically the story behind it!

Anyway, with much needed iteration and feedback from the guys at ENDVR, this is the end result. To briefly break it down, included is the Coliseum, London Bridge, Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty and Taj Mahal. There is no photography involved in the graphic. All the topsheet content was modeled and rendered in 3D with some post done in photoshop. The base graphic was made in illustator. A tee was also made for the series. I wrote out "New York State Of Mind" with a bit of flavor and then it was comp'd over the statue of liberty.
Hope you like!

8 Mile intro

The guys over at www.8milelife.com/ recently premiered their latest movie and wanted a triumphant animated intro based on the universal studios one we all know. I haven't done any motion graphics in a while so it was fun getting back into it. All in all the intro went over well and it was a great night. Thanks again to Johnny and Mikey for the bottomless bullets! In case anyone is wondering, it was modeled, textured and animated in 3D Studio Max with a few touches in After Effects.

Endeavor x Airhole Collab Review. Thumbs up!

I just finished a board graphic for an Endeavor x Airhole collab. It's a Kale Stephens pro model done in a Struzan collage fashion that contains several elements that represent Kale. A couple minor touch-ups are in order but it's done for the most part. The guys at snowboard review got a hold of the graphic a have given it an solid early review. Read more here:

State of the Art Photos

Last week end was the opening of State of the Art so here are some pics courtesy of my mum and Neil Singh from NLG. I was pretty happy on the opening night as my clocks set sold within a couple hours. It was one of those things where you start thinking maybe you're the only one that likes the idea behind it but i received lots of great feedback so far. I'm definately open to making more custom silk screen clocks if anyone is interested! thanks again to Max from Endeavor for hooking me up with a wall in the show!

Endeavor Roots series review

I gotta love the UK. It has things like my family, Liverpool FC, nice lager, Geoff Rowley and great snowboard graphic reviewers. Snowboard-Review.com just released a review based on the graphics of the Roots series I did this year and I'm pretty happy as it was a really good one. If it's this review or any other, I pretty much have to drop Mucha's name because my seasons were inspired by his seasons he created at the end of the 18th century. I seem to be getting good feedback from people who are familar with his work so hopefully he wouldn't roll over in his grave if he saw them. Check out the review here:

Keep scrolling on my blog for renders and high rez images of the series.

Endeavor 09/10 Roots Series

This is the second year i've done the roots series for Endeavor. I worked on them on and off for the last little while. I haven't seen nouveau make its way into board graphics before so i thought it would make for a nice change. Inspired by Mucha's seasons.

Socal Skatepark tour

Every year John Raimondo and friends drive down to Socal to tour all the parks. Sounds like an amazing time. So amazing this year he wanted get shirts made as a surprise for the posse. The 4 images inside the crest are key elements of the trip and he wanted the beaver up to top to represent Canada.

I stumbled onto a rough sketch of this in the archives. I can't remember the reason behind "visionary" but i liked the design so i decided to clean it up.
